Guidelines for submissions

Submissions are accepted from student(s) from one of the member organizations of Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan). The stories must outline the work of a social enterprise you select and how that work is linked to one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 (https://sdgs.un.org/goals). Stories may be written in either French or English. We also welcome in stories written in indigenous languages (but may require some assistance/guidance in translation to both English and French). The stories should also include at least one high quality image. When you contact your chosen candidate social enterprise for an interview, please provide them a link to the Humans of ImpAct website (https://humansofimpact.ca/) and once you have drafted the story please share it with the social enterprise for their review, comments and approval prior to submitting.

What happens after I submit my story?

Stories will be reviewed (and may be edited) and then translated into both official languages. We may contact you regarding your story for further details and you will be notified when the story is published on the Humans of ImpAct website. We would ask that you share this notification with your contact at the social enterprise highlighted in your story and promote the story on your social media with link to the website. While we will strive to publish your submitted stories in a timely manner, the time between submission and publication is subject to change based on overall workload of our team.
